About Chess

Arcade Noir Chess delivers the complete familiar game with legal castling, en passant, promotion, checkmate, stalemate, repetition, and draw handling. Choose a side, tune the clocks, and face the CPU without waiting for a network match, or open an online table for a live opponent.

Rules in brief

How to play Chess

  1. 01

Move one piece at a time according to its movement pattern; a move may never leave your own king in check.

  2. 02

Develop pieces, control useful squares, and protect the king while creating threats against the opposing king.

  3. 03

Win by checkmate. Stalemate, repetition, the fifty-move rule, insufficient material, or agreed conditions can end the game as a draw.

Arcade Noir validates legal actions inside the game and shows the controls for the current state. This short guide introduces the flow; the playable table remains the final rules authority.
