The table
About Battleship
Battleship separates secret fleet placement from a tense one-shot firing phase. The opponent sees misses, hits, and fully sunk ships but never receives the location of an unsunk vessel, whether the table is local or online.
Rules in brief
How to play Battleship
- 01
Place every ship horizontally or vertically on your private grid without overlap.
- 02
Take turns firing at one coordinate on the opposing grid and use the hit and miss history to narrow the search.
- 03
A ship sinks when all of its cells are hit. Sink the full enemy fleet before yours is destroyed.
Arcade Noir validates legal actions inside the game and shows the controls for the current state. This short guide introduces the flow; the playable table remains the final rules authority.
